Teamspeed's Karl Peskett tests the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 at the Sepang F1 Circuit

Teamspeed was invited to the first dynamic launch of the Lamborghini Aventador and guess what? The super-car received rave reviews but would you really expect anything less? Karl Peskett tested the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 at the the Sepang F1 Circuit and shares his experience. Peskett explains, "Lamborghini should be very proud of the Aventador. It's instantly recognizable as the flagship of the brand, yet there are no compromises to go with it. It's safe, ridiculously quick, well built, has immense grip, sounds insane and retains that Lambo value of extreme, uncompromising Italian flair." 

President & CEO of Lamborghini, Stephan Winkelmann goes on to say how Lamborghini believes that their competitors look to them for technology and design inspiration. Lamborghini Inspires the Latest Must-Have Accessory: Meet the Lamborghini AV-L001 Watch

What makes the price tag worthy? The AV-L001 is inspired by Lamborghini and designed by Adriao Valente with the timepiece derived from Karbonyte, an alloy that uses carbon fiber element. Talk about an ultra-cool design - the AV-L001 takes its shape from the Lamborghini speedometer with the hours matching the Arabic numerals on the black dials, with 3, 6, and 9 showing the hours. Another unique feature? The movement of the watch is based on the mechanical Engine 001 movement. Plus, this eye catcher comes equipped with a sapphire crystal cover that is anti-reflective and scratch resistant.

Cool Ride: Professional Skier Jon Olsson's Lamborghini Gallardo

What ride does Swedish professional skier and all-around extreme athlete, Jon Olsson, opt for his drive across Europe between ski events? A Lamborghini, obviously. Talk about living the high life!

Previously, Olsson chose a Murcielago LP670-4 for his occasional trips between hitting the ski slopes, however this time around, Olsson is taking his all-wheel-drive Lamborghini Gallardo all around Europe this season. The best part? This is only his "temporary car" until he gets his hands on the Aventador. Hey, we are all for champagne taste!

Last night was a big night for Lamborghini. President and CEO, Stephan Winkelmann himself unveiled the new Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills. Party goers sipped bubbly, nibbled on Italian apps and were treated to a private runway show with the newest items from Collezione Autombobili Lamborghini. Plus, attendees even got to check out a real-time design demonstration by the Head of Centro Stile Lamborghini Filippo Perini.

Talk about uncompromising Italian, what a night!

This past month has been full of events for Lamborghini North Los Angeles!

In addition to the official Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder Unveiling in Beverly Hills with Lamborghini President and CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, we hosted our Lamborghini Aventador Preview at Lavaggio in Agoura Hills. The afternoon was filled with cocktails, Italian antipasti, a cigar lounge with hand-rolled cigars and a fashion show featuring the new Automobili Lamborghini Sportswear Collection complimented with HUDSON denim. And, well of course, the revolutionary new super car!

Lamborghini Avenatdor: Model Car

If you thought the Lamborghini Aventador was pricey at a hefty six figures, well then you most likely won't be interested in bidding on the multimillion 1/8 scale Lamborghini Aventador model headed to auction!

As the most expensive model car in the world, the 1/8th scale model is built with gold, platinum, carbon fiber and diamonds by Robert Guelpen, a German car model specialist.

Still having difficulty wrapping your head around this one? Just imagine, you could buy about 10 real Aventadors for what Guelpen believes this model will sell for next month, a whopping $4.72 million. In addition to the intricate craftsmanship required to build such a model, the materials alone are well over 3 million dollars.

We are waiting in pure suspense to find out who the lucky bidder will be...

Leaked Info: Possible Lamborghini Crossover SUV in the Making

We caught wind of a speculated Lamborghini crossover concept based on leaked photos from Italian publication QuattroRoute. It seems that the luxurious sports car brand has an upcoming SUV model that displays the same sharp, angular lines typical of its maker, and is rumored to be the successor of the Lamborghini LM002. Although there has not been official confirmation, many online car enthusiasts have speculated that this SUV will show its face at the Beijing Motor Show in April 2012. This model seems to be a probable competitor of the Porsche Cayenne or Audi Q5, and has stirred mixed emotions among Lamborghini aficionados.

The Aventador J unveiled at the 2012 Geneva International Motor Show

The new Lamborghini Aventador J (pronounced "Yoh-tah") was unveiled on March 6th, 2012 at the Geneva International Motor Show by Stephan Winkelmann, the CEO and President of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. The new Lamborghini Aventador J has a sleeker and lower body than the 2011 Lamborghini Aventador. This new super car model features innovative carbon fiber material similar to the one used in the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento. The seats are made with carbon fiber based textile called CarbonSkin. This is its first application in this car, proving to be a true technologically innovative sports car. However, this new, cuttting-edge car is already sold to the lucky, first buyer at a hefty price of $2.1 million dollars.

Officially the Best of the Best!

The wise folks at Robb Report have announced the LP-700-4 Aventador is the Best of the Best Sports Car for 2012.

The all-new Aventador comes with a 700 horsepower V12 engine and a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, so who are we to argue?  

The combination of mind-blowing horsepower and light weight allow the LP700-4 to teleport from 0-62 in just 2.9 seconds.  If you can keep your foot down long enough, the Aventador will fly to a top speed of 217 MPH.

It takes more than just numbers to make a car the best around.  To really come to grips with how good the new bull is you may really have to call our North Los Angeles showroom and schedule a test drive.

The Auto Gallery sponsored the 3rd Annual Greystone Concours held May 6th

The City of Beverly Hills held its third annual Greystone Mansion Concours d'Elegance at the historic former Doheny Family Estate on May 6. Appealing to car and motorcycle collectors as well as socialites and automotive professionals, the exhibition has been designated as an official "Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens" (FIVA) event.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. guests viewed an impressive lineup of more than 150 vintage, classic and rare automobiles and motorcycles at the Doheny Family Estate, a 55-room Tudor-style mansion with formal English gardens and 16 acres of land. With more than $100 million worth of cars exhibited, the event is quickly becoming known for being one of the most prestigious concours events in the United States.

Highlights included a 1939 Bugatti Type 57C Coupe, a 1954 Alfa Romeo 1900 SS Zagato, a 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 'Daytona', a 1930 Cadillac 452A and a 1925 Hispano Suiza H6B. The event also included lecture programming with four lectures by speakers such as Donald Osborne and contributing editor of Sports Car Market Magazine.

All of the proceeds from the event went toward the further restoration of Greystone, which is now working to have a seven-car garage restored to its original splendor. Greystone Mansion is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Concours attendees enjoyed live music, gourmet foods, an incredible selection of fine automobiles and even take a tour inside the Greystone Mansion where there were vendor displays and a group of bicycles from the late 1800s and the early 1900s.

The Auto Gallery is one of the premiere sponsors of this event and it was a spectacular day with our Fiat Abarth, Lamborghini Gallardo, 2012 Porsche 911 GTS Cabriolet, Audi R8 GT Spyder and McLaren MP4-12C on display.

Brand New Aventador Rolls Off Showroom Floor

 One of our loyal customers just stopped by our North Los Angeles Lamborghini showroom to pick up his brand new Lamborghini LP700-4 Aventador. We're sad to see the beautiful Nero Pegaso supercar go, but any chance to hear that 700 horsepower V12 roar to life is fine with us!
